The Michael Jackson accusers were both very credible and compelling. This guy was not. Guardian

I never know what to make of these issues because all it takes is a claim, and "facts" taken out of context, and "interpretation" of events, and a total lack of consideration of things like time lines and circumstances. This can go in either direction, and even in cases that don't involve an official court of law, people's lives are being ruined because someone gets a bee in their bonnet and wants to sully a person.
I think of how many men in particular have had their name dragged through the mud, spear-headed by an eager person on a mission to dredge up all sorts of stuff from God knows when, related or not, and churn it all together, and they're put on "social trial" so regardless of what happened, or didn't, or where context needs to be brought into the issue, it all gets thrown out the window and people lose a lot.
I was watching a few different Joe Rogan podcasts about how the #metoo movement can turn into a witch hunt, and it takes just one or two people feeling wronged and they can totally and completely destroy another person. There's no room for nuance, and everything is in absolutes without regard for specifics. When someone wants to rip another person's life apart, they're given immunity and due process is thrown out the window. All it takes is an accusation.
When someone has a grudge, they have a vendetta, and can screw people over. Mob mentalities rule.
