That works for me! Some people in Idaho and Montana might not like it, but it's not a lot of people. There could also be a population exchange, sort of like with the end of the Ottoman Empire, with a lot of movement of Greeks and Turks. Exactly. MAGA in Idaho and Montana would be pissed while Libs in Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA would be pissed. Well, suck it up, buttercup. Preventing the next Civil War is not going to be easy or convenient. But it's fucking worth it, IMO. Or we can just kill each other for stupid partisan reasons. That will go splendidly. This country is long past unification, it's time for peaceful deconstruction. In my drunk ass opinion. So it goes. Gee, I thought Iowans held their liquor better than that.

I'm not. I live just south of I-70 and have no desire to completely uproot my life just to move across that border. Selfie lives in Iowa, he wouldn't have to move. I know, we're just goofing around, here. But how have we gotten to this point in our history? How sad... To simplify matters, Canada is willing to annex the territories we desire to add in exchange for your loyalty.🙂 Get real, Canuck. You barely keep Quebec under your control. Those Frenchy traitors!

It will be at least another generation before the stupid can be washed away from our environment.

I've been drinking whiskey for 3 hours now... that I can still type proves my STAMINA!

I think tech has completely outrun our maturity as a species. People can't handle 'too much information', and are back to fight or flight. Scary. That’s part of it, but those who have taken advantage of this cognitive existential crisis are the same folks who’ve pulled the con jobs for millennia.

Oh man.....Little Havana, Miami, sleazy looking pastel green stucco building looks like a beach shower facility. One window, no going inside. Like a cement sandwich truck with four flat tires. 90° F in the shade. "¿Qué deseas?" "Cafe con leche, pica suga". Heaven.

The 36th Parallel could work as well. So what would the new countries be called? We know the MAGAt south could be called “Gilead”…

That’s part of it, but those who have taken advantage of this cognitive existential crisis are the same folks who’ve pulled the con jobs for millennia. This is true, but the last era tech took a really seismic shift in the way we live was late 1800's/early 1900's. It resulted in what I like to call "The thirty year war with the long lunch break", LOL. Think about it: from 1900 to 1930, we went from walking everywhere and only speaking/knowing about what was next door? To cars, telephones, mass media and airplanes. My Grandfather, born 1901 in Greenwich Village? First job was keeping the stables on Perry St. Learned to ride a horse on Manhattans cobblestones. Died just after the moon landing. I believe 1900 to 1930 rivaled our tech advances of today for sheer impact. I've got a Goddamned library in my hand right now! "Dewey decimal what???"

We know the MAGAt south could be called “Gilead”… The United States of America vs. The Confederate Union of MAGA. We can at least share the Colorado River. It's kind of necessary. We can share water, currency, and trade. Everything else would need to be worked out.

The map coloration is out of date, but maybe that's the only way. A country, in which it's citizens actively hate each other, is destined to fail. Better to separate amicably than through violence. I like that map because the New North would need to redraw the borders out West. IMO. Are we on opposite sides of the map? :(
