During the run-up to the second (brief) US government shutdown this year, the demented cretin Nancy Pelosi brought the Filibuster to the House of Representatives, where it has heretofore never existed, prattling on in the well, verbally undermining Democrat chances in the midterms and forcing colleagues to come back in and fill the chamber so she didn't look like a moonbat talking to herself. When she speaks, it is often an uncomfortable affair for all within earshot.
At one point she told a heartwarming story about her little grandson:
I'm reminded of my own grandson. He is Irish, English, whatever, whatever, and Italian-American, he is a mix. But he looks more the other [Italian] side of the family, shall we say.
And when he had his sixth birthday... he had a very close friend whose name is Antonio, he's from Guatemala. And he has beautiful tan skinned, beautiful brown eyes, and this was a proud day for me, because when my grandson blew out the candles on his cake, they said did you make a wish?
He said yes, he made a wish. What is your wish? I wish I had brown skin and brown eyes like Antonio.
So beautiful. So beautiful. The beauty is in the mix. The face of the future for our country is all-American. And that has many versions. My question is this: if we were to be presented with some tale about a young Mexican or African-American boy offering up his sincere birthday wish that he could be fair-skinned and blue-eyed, would the entire nation not be compelled to weep at the tragedy of said 'boy of color' feeling like he wasn't good enough unless he was white? Would we not subjected to every talk show yenta in America emoting about how she wants to hold the little fellow and tell him he is wonderful just the way he is? It would be a goddam national crisis, I suspect.
What gives?
