Anyone watching? Prefer this to the summer Olympics. Ski jump right now. I always preferred the Winter Olympics as well. It was never better than the ones from years ago (when I was just a little kid and then a teenager) at Innsbruck, Lake Placid and Sarajevo. Back then, the settings/locations were better and the personal interest stories were genuine. Since then, the network coverage of these Olympic events has progressive gotten worse and worse. Give me Jim McKay over Bob Costas and Katie Couric any day! Like everything else in our times, it's become all manufactured hype and fake news (the now obligatory and fabricated personal interest stories), with way too much on-air time to fill by the those vapid commentators. No. I'm not watching. |

Just let the athletes make the stories all by themselves like Franz Klammer, the 1980 US hockey team, and Torvill and Dean! That Jayne Torvill had English sophistication and class. And nice legs too. |
