Very interesting info about Pernell Roberts, petrolino . Did not know that, but I'm glad to learn it. And here's a bit of news about Hoyt Axton you will probably enjoy: He was my Uncle Jack's roommate at Oklahoma State University when they were freshman. Jack said that Hoyt was there on a scholarship and played football, but didn't do well in school, because he stayed in their room and played his music most of the day. But Jack liked him; said he was nice and a very talented man. And I see from Wikipedia that Axton soon left OSU to join the Navy. Also see that he was a cousin of Arlo Guthrie, who's father Woody (therefore a relative, too) was from Okemah, Oklahoma where every year they have the Woody Guthrie festival. But I digress. This was meant to be about my Uncle Jack and Hoyt. I always loved it when Uncle Jack told that great story.

Hoyt Axton got around. Was just reading an obituary for Joe Chambers (R.I.P.) of the Chambers Brothers who's died at the age of 81. They hung out with Axton at the Ash Grove in Los Angeles back in the early days. One of your favourites, Linda Ronstadt, played the Ash Grove.

Oh, I love this, Petrolino! Thanks so much for sharing. They are great together, and this song is one of my favorites.
