Doesnt matter if they are or arent.
The net neutrality thing applies to your ISPs on how they can slow down things if they want to.
The idea being is they dont want CNN or Fox news to be using the same bandwidth as Pornhub.com
I hate Firefox quantum- i lost all my plugins that i used for years( legacy) I am on an older version like most people.
net neutrality has its pros and cons.

They're not related, really.
You don't have much choice for your ISP in America. You have a wealth of choices for your browser if you don't like what they're doing here.
Furthermore, this is about optimization for the sake of browser speed; not for reasons related to business or asking a premium. The tracker scripts will still fire and function as intended.

Yeah but as I am finding out the hard way that using the older version doesn't work out too well. Mainly because you have every hacker and their dog hurling "Sirefef" at you. As well as constant browser hijack attempts from fake upgrade banners. If you think firefox quantum is bad on Windows, just wait until you try it out on Linux. The Linux version of firefox quantum doesn't allow any plugins at all. That means you can't use "noscript" to block advertisement, tracker, and malware servers. Which also means that you have to block that out with a custom "Hosts" file, a real pain in the ass.

Fast lane slow lane, throttling, etc.. Burger King even had that commercial with net neutrality whoppers. Of course it’s the same. Nobody wants Net Neutrality. Liberals i.e. scoundrels pretend to want it, but only for you and not for themselves. That’s all.

I tried waterfox on one of my laptops- which seems pretty good and allows all the old plugins. not so sure about its security though.

Yes you can get tabs in the title bar, just adjust the settings by right clicking on the title bar then check the menu option, then restart firefox. Then you should be able to adjust the settings. Either under "Tools" on Windows firefox, or "Edit" on Linux firefox. There are ways around that, as I discovered during the second term of the George W. Bush presidency. Which was the last time they really got into restricting and banning websites above the level of ISP. The way around that is to use a proxy or change your DNS gateway server. Or you can use a payed VPN service so that even "Uncle Sam" the government has a really hard time finding out exactly what you are looking at on the internet. You can't get out of paying extra money for your internet access but you can find ways to look at nearly any website you want to. The bottom line is that Fascism causes nearly everything to be more expensive and complicated. By taking away the regulations and services that the government would otherwise provide to protect consumers from questionable or harmful business practices.

I am using a 64 bit version of palemoon on my desktop, which gets along fine with the older 32 bit version of firefox. Certain malware can't infect from a browser running in 64 bit address space. As most malware and viruses are still only designed to run on the older 32 bit operating systems. Although for compatibility reasons, I still keep a 32 bit firefox because some web sites won't allow access from a 64 bit web browser. From a security standpoint, palemoon is better than firefox however, it lags behind in web site compatibility.

All of the firefox quantum downloads are 64 bit on a 64 bit operating system which is a pain in the ass because the same web site compatibility issues crop up as with palemoon. Ever heard of "noscript" ? www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/software/noscript-add-on-updated-for-firefox-57-and-the-new-webextensions-api/Got to figure that when you use the best of the best malware protection that gets a personal endorsement from Edward Snowden. Then it only follows that you become a target of the best of the best hackers. www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?Name=Win32/SirefefHackers like "Fancy Bear" and "Cozy Bear", as well as the infamous hacker known as "Pinkie Pie" who all leave personalized "tags" on your computer system to let you know that they have been there.

Yes, it is called "noscript"... It also blocks some malware and tracking scripts, and comes with a few other benefits that will go unmentioned. Because when you find that certain web sites are broken or defective in a good way, you don't really want them fixing it. I won't say what other software I use that constitutes "the best of the best" for obvious security reasons.

Does a Soviet fighter plane even have an opinion on what happens on the internet?

Never heard of Noscript. Today I just tried it- it sux -almost every website doesnt open properly. Too impractical Try Ublock origin- its better with avast with webshield activated. I used a specially designed program of mine that is auto updated and prevent you from connecting to any nasty sites( not a n ordinary ad blocker plugin- its designed for the entire pc- every program or browser has been shielded against sites with malware. For your phone try incognito browser or UC browser( amazingly fast with build in DOUBLE ad blockers) My main issue with Firefox was that it constantly crashed due to malformed TCP/IP datagrams. Now my main issue with Firefox is that it no longer supports backing up the passwords. I am constantly having to reinstall Firefox, Java, and Flash Player, because those applications keep getting compromised with malware. And being able to backup and restore the bookmarks and passwords are a big part of being able to properly maintain a Windows system. Because unlike Linux, you can't do a backup of the entire operating system or even parts of it. Since the backup feature of Microsoft Windows has been broken since Windows XP. The reason for this is that the boot sector is tied in with the license and installation code and Microsoft in their infinite wisdom or rather infinite greed have chosen to copy protect that boot sector so that backups of the whole system are impossible. Even with third party solutions that function outside of Windows, backing up the whole system is still impossible. That together with the virus and malware problems make Microsoft Windows very undesirable as an operating system. That leaves the eventual migration path directed towards some distribution of Linux despite the fact that Linux still has very poor support for video and audio processing. The main reason for that most likely due to codec licensing issues.
