mrellaguru , No, but your alternative is no better. Vance is unlikable and more extreme than Trump. His plans aren't popular with most Americans.
Kamala should emphasize Trump's advanced age and obesity. He might not survive long into his second term and then we'd get Vance. That should turn off a lot of voters, even those who like Trump.

Vance is a political hound. If this scenario would ever take place, I believe he would steer the GOP to more of what the leaders want. Someone more like a W Bush.

That's a good point. Even the fact that he's now Trump's VP shows that he's willing to compromise his principles.

That's a good point. Even the fact that he's now Trump's VP shows that he's willing to compromise his principles.
I believe he saw a path to 2028 for himself and that's ultimately why he wanted this so badly. Become VP and he's basically the nominee in 2028. |

Kamala was herself willing to follow Biden into a second term before Biden quit so talking about Trump's advanced age and obesity is the last thing she should do. He's also been "obese" for years and still isn't dead so that's a useless argument to go down. He was voted in 2016 not because of his "good looks". |
