It all comes down to this: the once Mighty Eels, a mere 2 years removed from a Grand Final appearance, taking on the Wests Tigers joint venture who won a premiership in 2005 and, apart from a nice mini run in 2010-11, have been garbage ever since.
I really think the Eels deserve the spoon and surely the Campbelltown faithful can being something out of their team? I'll say Tigers with little confidence. With a combined record of 12-34 this season how much confidence could anyone possibly have one way or the other?

As a lifelong Parramatta supporter I might prefer an Eels win. I have some sympathy for them, for their rocky season. Brad Arthur losing the plot and Moses having a bad injury season might be some sort of excuse. Then again the Sheens Marshall polka couldn't havd been good for Wests performance. Move the game to Leichardt and see if that gives them a boost. I suppose there is no chance the Rabbits could beat Wests to the bottom.

Surely we win this one…..
But our record in “big games” outside of 2005 is so poor…. I have zero confidence…..

If the Tigers are within 30 with 10 minutes to go they're a chance. The mistake the Dragons made was being 32 behind... I think this should be fun, but it should also be on free to air. A bit of light fun before the serious stuff on Sunday.

I think this should be fun, but it should also be on free to air. A bit of light fun before the serious stuff on Sunday. The Australian government has really fucked its free to air policy. What gets on free to air no longer has anything to do with policy and all about advertising revenue. 10 years ago I followed the W league, seeing girls moving up to the national leage and many going overseas, leading to the best Matildas team 2010 - 2018. Now no A League womens soccer is shown on free to air, and not all Matildas games. The a league womens soccer doesnt even get scores mentioned on the news. The A league prioritises (AKA pours money into it) mens soccer hoping the socceroos don't squib it. AFLW and NRLW are popular because they get regular free to air games, and scores broadcast in the news.

Tigers hit back! Great. And then Parra kick out on the full on the restart. Trading mistakes and errors and living up to the billing thus far.

Mason makes a mess out of an awkward bomb and Parra score again. Leading 22-10 and not looking good for the home team.

Karisao gets binned (rightly so) and Parra score a soft one straight away. That's your Spoon Ball folks. 32-16.
