I quite liked Z Nation, it was pleasingly goofy and silly at a time when the Walking Dead took itself far too seriously.
Anyway, they've made a prequel set at the outbreak and decided to make it serious. First episode was pretty good.

6. This one didn't really make any sense. They're now acting like a gang who've been together for years, planning a heist and taking over the military place. But why? What the fuck?
Plus the timings didn't sync up at all.

7. Now they're acting like they've been together forever, willing to murder for each other. Slightly better episode.

8. Fantastic episode. Brilliant action. Ambiguous ending.
7/10 overall.

I keep seeing this popping up on my Netflix feed, but given it's a series, I tend to generally avoid them because I don't want to invest myself in something where I have to keep waiting to see how things unfold only to be left with cliff-hangers every 40 minutes or whatever.
As far as this, I'm also not even remotely into zombies. Vampires? You betcha. Zombies? Nah, you can keep 'em.

I would recommend the first two episode, the fifth episode (in the diner) and the final episode. You don't really need to see the rest anyway as it's just your standard survivors coming together to form a group. The last episode is great. Starts like Saving Private Ryan.
