Delightfully retro all Sydney affair between two 80s power houses. Both these teams have looked really good at times this year and looked bloody horrible at others. Really poorly timed two game losing streak for the Dogs whilst Manly could have been playing this at Brookvale had they not been eviscerated by the Sharks today.
Absolute coin flip for mine. I guess I'll go with Manly because experience has to count for something, but the Dogs could just as easily put 40 past them

So that's what a good finals game is like? More please. Bulldogs looked the better team for much of the game and led for most of the night but couldn't get a decisive break. Manly went ahead with an absolutely superb team try in the 73rd minute. Burton nearly tied it with a 2 pt FG but didn't have the distance. He had one more attempt at the end and, while not a shank, never looked like coming off.

Was it just me… or was Burton trying to chip the two attempts rather than really drilling them ?
The 2 elimination finals were two cracking games.
I like both the Cowboys and Manly to win next week.

The first one was such a scrambled mess in the build up that I think he was in so much space he tried to finesse it. He was kicking with the wind and probably thought it would carry if he got it straight. The second one was under slightly more pressure, and he certainly didn't hit it hard.
