In that period, I listened to a LOT of 40's and 50's stuff. Glenn Miller, Fats Domino, Eddie Cochrane were my favourites.
Perfidia by Glenn Miller is wonderful.
C'Mon Everybody and Something Else by Eddie are fantastic.
I fully believe that Dion invented rap with Runaround Sue.

Flying Monkeys, I could listen to Runaround Sue over and over. I got into Sinatra and Nat King Cole heavy too
