I just watched a documentary on Peter Lorre and never realized he was best friend with Humphrey Bogart, but of course, since they made a lot movies together. He talked Bogey into marrying Betty Bacall. Despite being an on screen villain, he was actually very well liked and had a wicked sense of humor. Sadly, he suffered a lot of personal problems, but he was basically a nice guy.  |

I adore him, read several biographies of him since he had an interesting life that unfortunately wasn’t very long by today’s standards. His beloved daughter died young as well in the 1980s. Have you seen the film M from 1931? Incredible film and acting from Lorre as a child killer. |

Lorre's daughter Catharine was once picked up by the notorious serial killers known as the Hillside Stranglers. When they realized who her father was, they let her go as they were big Peter Lorre fans. It was only after they were arrested and she saw their pictures in the newspapers that she realized she was almost one of their victims.

Since her opinion of transgenders won't be affecting anything at all, that's not something I give a rat's ass about when voting for a president. On the other hand, Trump being a man-child fascist who aspires to be a dictator is something that would have much to do with fucking up democracy, the country and world. |
