I used to quite like seeing it but then the more and more I thought about it, it just seemed ridiculous. Imagine having to stand and watch the opposition doing some daft little dance before any other sport (asides from Olympic breakdancing!) and you'd be scratching your head, thinking what's going on? The cultural appreciation arguement doesn't even make any sense. You're watching a sporting event, not an historical cultural mission from whatever country. If the England football team turned up and insisted they were going to do a morris dance before every match with Harry Kane leading the way, they'd be laughed out of town yet Rugby seems to be okay with it... Actually are the NZ football team allowed to do Hakas before their matches? (No idea)
