I never saw a Spike Lee picture before. This was quite good. The politics wasn't heavy handed enough to ruin it.

The first 40 minutes are excellent. Great premise, well developed, and really gets you interested.
The acting and production are good throughout, but the story becomes ho-hum when we get to about an hour in.
This is an example of where a writer and director came up with something really good, but then they rushed to finish it. Probably due to studio deadlines. More time could have made this a classic.
