With all the millions of words written about Winston Churchill, there has never been a biography concentrating on his finances. He was perpetually insolvent, came up with ingenious tax efficiency schemes, paid bills literally years late, relied on "loans" from wealthy sympathizers etc etc. David Lough has filled the gap.

One hell of a self-promo man, and self-marketer. He wrote so much about himself more than anything else...

But with all his faults he changed history, and for the better. Without him, the Germans would have conquered Europe, including European Russia, and Naziism would have lasted for decades.
