You can argue on which is a particular clubs best team, but of all teams at all times? It's nonsensical as challenges such as strength of opposition, training techniques, period in which they played etc etc etc can never really be factored in. Better than any Liverpool team? Arsenals invincibles? Man U with Best, Charlton,Law etc? the article was probably written by someone who grew up in that period and sees it as the glory days. Comparing between eras, even as close together as this is pretty impossible and pointless.

The league, FA Cup and Champions League are the big three and that team was always fun to watch. But I'd say the 2008 team was a better team with harder opposition.

The 99 team was the best to watch. Attacking 4-4-2 formation, endless crosses and pushing forward.
Fergie eventually had to drop that style because they kept getting twatted in Europe by teams that played one up front.
The Ronaldo team was probably stronger though.
