Do you have any good science fiction shows on the go?
Do you like old Japanese movies (of the black and white variety)?
Sadly no. I'm currently re watching Andromeda, mainly as Lexa Doig is hot. Only the Godzilla ones. Neat. I see bits and pieces of Andromeda on TV. The backstory of the discovery of that galaxy is so interesting, as it basically expanded our understanding of the size of the universe and movement within it. The jig was up when closer inspection revealed Andromeda was a cluster of stars so far away that on a telescope, it genuinely looked like a nebula. Just dust and clouds. Add to that the reality that it blueshifts, i.e. it's moving toward us, is mind blowing. I'd be curious to check out the show. Kevin Sorbo did it right after Hercules, and I was a sucker for the cheeseball that was Hercules and Xena. I've also considered a Stargate show here and there, or perhaps Killjoys (though I get Killjoys and Dark Matter mixed up). Whichever one has the actress who played Ghost in Antman and the Wasp is the show I want. Frankly, the name Lexa Doig just sounds hot, although that might be mostly the Lexa half of it. My head is forcing an image of Milla Jovovich from Fifth Element into mind. Not sure why. I don't necessarily blanket recommend any type of movie, even my favourite ones. There's a few black and white Japanese ones that concern samurais (and some colour films that concern Yakuza) that I think are interesting. It's a genre among some directors who I think use the backdrop of samurai/Yakuza to explore different kinds of moral and social codes. Well, that came out of nowhere. No, I find stories about Samurais and Yakuza interesting because of the devotion of honour and strict moral codes. I think they're philosophically interesting, like Harakiri or Samurai Rebellion. I reckon Jep Gambardella, will vouch.

What motivated you into doing this failed-attempt-at-reverse-psychology thread?

Fun enough way to pass the time though.

What motivated you into doing this failed-attempt-at-reverse-psychology thread? I felt like it. Make a thread crying about it like normal, you whiney clown.

How does one reach any conclusion thorshairspray? Instead of posing a question back to me, why not just say; if I loved a woman with all my heart or even if I just liked her a lot it wouldn't matter to me if she was liberal or conservative? Because your question was moronic. Usually one reaches a conclusion by weighing the evidence, not by randomly jumping to a predetermined conclusion based on your biased perception. You said that because you think that is what conservatives think, not from anything I've ever said. No I didn't, because, LOL, for the most part conservative men will fuck anything that walks thor. And some of them, like trump's pick for defence secretary, Fox News propagandist Pete Hegseth don't even ask permission before they fuck them. And now, dear thorshairspray, nice as its been to chat I must wander off to bed and rest.

I just found it an adorable attempt at asserting the opposite of what you are by calling yourself what you actually are.

Do you believe that corporations should be subject to environmental regulation by government? Yes. The state exists to protect the people, this protection should include unsafe and predatory actions by corporations. Go figure. I guess British far right extremist fascists are different than the American variety.

TO be fair, this is one area where I do get calling hypocritical, since I'm almost a libertarian in my view of government interface in our personal lives. But the government is supposed to be a night watchman. If it will allow large corporations to poison our water and air, what is the point of having a government?

Yet you assumed the opposite. Weird. It is you that assumes too much thor, not me. "So you couldn't fall in love with a liberal woman?" This is a leading question. Were you being good faith you would have asked me "Could you fall in love with a liberal woman?" but you assumed the answer and tried to lead me to give you the answer you wanted. You're not smart enough to play that game with me, Jeff.
