Go proclaim that on a street corner in Paris and see what happens. I'd piss off Muslims who identify by their religion, much like anyone would get pissed off by having their race or ethnicity attacked. |

Also, in Britain. British cops love going after people for saying things and even putting people in prison for it. Not sure how they're getting along rounding these people up. Footage has been released of IDF soldiers, fresh from killing thousands of Muslim children, rampaging around the streets of Amsterdam screaming "kill arabs" and boasting that there are no schools in gaza because they killed the kids. But thats OK because the IDF and jews arent terrorists. This is what I'm talking about. The land of arresting people and even jailing people for offensive Tweets along with police investigating non-crime hate incidents have deemed this not a hate crime. That's what I suspected, no statistics to back your generalization, but a bias you already have about an entire group justified with any cherry-picked news story about this or that Muslim, if it's even that. What story about "quietly allowing Friday prayers" in public schools are you talking about? As for some women covering themselves, some might wear a niqab as an expression of their identity, in my opinion silly, but not necessarily anything to do with having an "owner" as the only person who should see them, nor are they harming or threatening anyone by doing that any more than someone with weird hair, and it's just their business. My hunch though is you rarely even see this, but it makes a huge impact when you do. ZERO tolerance for the utterly abhorrent notion that women should never show their faces in public. As simple as that. Wearing a niqab should be grounds for immediate deportation. That story has nothing to do with any pro-Muslim-prayer thing in Canada allowing specifically Muslims to pray in public schools. It's about the education minister learning about 2 schools where kids were praying, formalizing a ban on prayer rooms and religious practices in schools to uphold the longstanding law against religion in schools. Do you think niqab wearers are setting some sort of dangerous trend of women everywhere feeling they shouldn't show their faces in public? This is no more of an issue than someone with weird hair or nose rings or facial tattoos. What doesn't belong in a free country though is the fascist attitude of thinking something that petty that's none of your business warrants deportation. |
