What does 2001 have to do with a guy who entered ILLEGALLY in 2022 and was allowed to stay by Joe Biden? Along with millions of others who Biden let stay AFTER he invited them to come. Which other president did that? ... I remember asking the officer who had the undocumented caseload in 2001 why we didn't call Border Patrol & have them all deported. He informed me the Border Agents couldn't be bothered with them. After 9/11, ICE was created (2003) & they saw more money thrown at them so then they wanted our undocumented convicted felons, but even that was up & down, depending on congress budgeting priorities. So believe whatever lies you want to believe. It wasn't just Biden. I happened to work the undocumented caseload when Donnie was the President. He didn't deport them all like you seem to imagine. They went through the court system, did their time, & MAYBE after that ICE would pick them up if we hand-delivered them at the office (told them it was an appointment with their PO, only ICE showed up to cart them away) It always came down to how much money Congress gave them any given year. By the way, Deport was watching them walk across the border Meaning those that wanted to were back the next day/week/month/etc. I had clients deported 4 or 5 times. How could they be on your caseload if they were undocumented?

How could they be on your caseload if they were undocumented? ... Undocumented is the polite term Illegal? Crossed the border without following proper procedures? What term do you want to use? Dad used the "w" word back in the 70s. So the people crossed the border outside of the crossing points, got picked up for committing a crime, got convicted. They did their time here because our laws don't count outside of our border. Other countries aren't going to put their citizens we've convicted of crimes in their jails. Our law enforcement people have no jurisdiction outside of our border. And if ICE won't deport them, why wouldn't we keep them on probation? Or you want them to not be punished for committing crimes?

The "polite" term is factually incorrect since you had documentation on them. "Illegal" is factually correct. I want them to be punished for crimes AND deported. I also want people to stop lying about their immigration status with incorrect descriptions like "undocumented".

Back then, it was more about Guest Workers ...........a far more legal way of handling the need for workers, imo
But now? It's cartels and $Big Money! There's bound to be much more criminal activity. Gangs and territorial disputes.
That's why the guy i worked for was so pissed when Border Patrol picked up his workers? THEY WERE ILLEGALS, DUDE. My dad asked one why he bothered coming all that distance? The guy said because he could make enough money working one summer to live off for a year or more in Mexico.
And that changes what I wrote.......how?
You're missing the part that the cartels are now much more involved. It's HUGE business.

I want them sent home with a permanent dye on their hands or arms so they're more easily spotted should they return.
And the punishment for a 2nd offense to be very severe.

You think there isn't a solution for "permanent dye"? Tattoo removal? Chips implanted can't be removed? The solution is, as i have said endlessly, is PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO EMPLOY THEM. Charge more than the $1500 or so per person they fine employers caught hiring them. Don't make deals on volume (caught with 20 illegals, let the employer pay half) Go back every month to check, not once every year or 2 If it isn't profitable to hire illegals, Keurig, Ferrera, Walmart, Chipotle, etc wouldn't continue to hire them

It's worth a try, imo.
Yes, you keep saying that. Unfortunately you keep ignoring how the employers hands are tied when it comes to asking for ID.
I doubt Walmart is hiring many Illegals. They don't pay cash. Besides, they can pay women 30% less, so there's that. ;)

I feel like "treason" has become a catch-all term like "racist." Didn't they catch the guy who did this? As high profile as this case became, I doubt he'll get less than the whole book thrown at him. And good for him, be deserves nothing less. He got life in prison and didn't even get the death penalty. Good. Not even this monster should be executed.

So walmart hired an outside contractor for work..........and THEY had Illegals on their staff. But because we live in a land of lawyers and not real laws, somehow Walmart is responsible? Because they actually have the money?
Oh, no! Locked them in??!! Lemme guess, to clean while the store was CLOSED? Do you see how retarded we've become?

You missed that article I posted about companies using staffing agencies to hire undocumented workers so they can underpay them? Plausible deniability. Or-

That's exactly what it is and imo should be. You hire subcontractors so you're not responsible for their workers. THEY are. Now we're back to blaming the Govt. They have employees and the Govt doesn't know who they are? my arse
I've also told you this is another reason WHY Illegals being here leads to other crimes, because they're not gonna report them. Of course they're being taken advantage of.

There is also the Wild West aspect. It was not uncommon for people to reinvent themselves when they went out west & it happens with the migrants. I have mentioned the officer in Juvenile who regularly went to Mexico to get records on people being prosecuted here because it was believed juveniles got lighter treatment so guys in their 20s would claim to be teens believing no one could prove otherwise.
