I see the irony just like the irony of appointing a director for the Department of Education when the Department of Education is to be done away with. Taking a chainsaw to the effigy of a useless government department makes for an exciting visual stunt...but appointing a director for the dismantling of it is more realistic and sensible in executing that agenda. Excitement is no shield against unintended consequences. |

That's a good joke.
Just yesterday, I was actually thinking about the logistics of Elon Musk's day. How can he do everything he already does anyway? And then to add to that a government position? So then it dawned on me that Elon is not really going to be doing any work. Vivek will be the one actually doing the work. Elon is going to be the ultimate "phone-a-friend." Every once in a while Vivek won't have the mental capacity or knowledge to call bullshit on something, so he'll call Elon and since Elon knows pretty much damn near everything, he'll be able to quickly disprove the bullshit for Vivek so Vivek can righteously proceed with the beheading.
