The lighter penguin is an elderly female whose partner died this year. The darker one is a younger male who lost his partner two years ago. They meet every night and stand for hours together watching the lights. Biologists have followed them as they meet every night to comfort each other. The irony/joke was too funny to pass up. Granted, it's "only" a TV show, but thats kind of messed up. It's just as messed up when YouTubers let major spoilers be in their thumbnails. I try to avoid spoilers for anything I am really interested in. So that would usually include me staying off Youtube for a few days to make sure I am caught up... I would NOT (and should not) expect a major spoiler for the Penguin in a thread called "Cute, wholesome thread", on a politics board. If it were called "Just watched The Penguin" or something like that, fair enough. |
