Let's say you've just been informed that you only have a year to live. What foods would you allow yourself to indulge in with reckless abandon?

About the lobster thing, is it because it's rare?
I live in New England and we thrive in the summer with lots of lobster available.

Been there, done that, so to speak. When I was stationed back there (in Maine) I had several of the fresh boiled lobstah dinners you get at those quaint little diners and shacks along the seacoast. Although it's good, it's not spectacular... plus, it's a friggin' mess of a meal, what with all the shells and slimy bits you get all over everything as you tear into it. So yeah, I'll pass on the lobstah. I *did* greatly enjoy the picturesque settings of those diners and shacks, though.

Great choice unless you have cancer. Not effective unless it is fire grilled and served with tarter sauce. You need a source of sugar to get that process started off, some sort of cola like Dr. Pepper is probably best. After that you need some excitement or it might not take properly, possibly a trip to the amusement park to ride a roller coaster, it won't work unless you are genuinely afraid. Be sure to get a moderate amount of walking in, but not too much. After all that be sure to get plenty of rest, at least 9 hours of rest. You should probably use an oxygen mask while sleeping or it might not work. Although not for more than 3 nights in a row, because excessive use of concentrated oxygen could cause cancer or other complications. After about 2 weeks, you should probably have some boiled red cabbage along with some hot dogs just to be sure you don't end up with cancer. Watch your intake of sweets, excessive amounts of sugar could lead to complications such as acromegaly. Besides, if I told you what all that does, you probably wouldn't believe me. As a side note, a couple of common over the counter supplements were used in the experiment although it is probably not necessary, and besides, it's not like you could obtain those any more anyway because those supplements are now restricted and very difficult to obtain. The sort of supplements that would get you banned from professional sports competitions just to give you a clue. Hey wouldn't it be cool to regenerate like Wolverine? Just messing with you, or am I??? LOL, I probably shouldn't have posted any of that information, way too dangerous, too risky... The long term effects are unknown. Yeah, I would probably do fire grilled lobster with tarter sauce again...

Boiling lobsters is no good, because the boiling process destroys all the important enzymes that repair the telomeres. Which is why you should eat lobsters fire grilled with tartar sauce instead. A good tartar sauce made with real mayonnaise. Because it takes a fat such as mayonnaise to properly transfer the enzymes from the lobster to be properly absorbed. As you might guess, that sort of reverses the aging process, within limits. Although it comes with a very high risk of cancer and acromegaly. It is still far from perfect and still very dangerous...

No mess, no 'slimy stuff' (what's that?). And throw in a starter of grilled king prawns.

Not all lobsters are the same. There are different breeds of lobsters and different ways of cooking them. There are rock lobsters, there are Atlantic Maine lobsters, there's boiled and broiled, there's langostinos which are often sold as lobsters because they're actually very cheap shellfish. If they're not prepared properly, if they're old, if they're too big, depends on the colour (green or blue)....lots of these things actually do play a part in how your "lobster" will taste, IF that's even what you're eating.
