Whenever mainstream media claims there has been a spike in hate crimes, remember this. I notice that those stories about spikes in hate crimes give examples that are almost exclusively crimes against property, vandalism and so forth, with no video or evidence about who the perpetrators actually are. |

IMHO, both Rissa and wolfesth are 100% out of line on this thread. If it is not a valid line of discussion to point out the number of entirely fake so-called "hate crimes", then the federal government and every breathless social justice commentator needs to stop tracking and referring to things like a "rise in hate crimes." Stats are meaningless and worthless if the underlying data is bogus. That is the point, and it's quite relevant.

Take this thread for example, you have found some examples of hate crimes being falsely created, and yet your examples number in the tens while the FBI stats put hate crimes convictions per year in the thousands,with the biggest perpetrators being white on black,and these include serious crimes ranging from physical assault up to and including murder. It's almost as if you're trying to say that most hate crime reports are false and black people are making them up in order to portray white people as racist. Well let me be clear, most people don't make up crimes be they hate or any other type,and most people aren't racist. You on the other hand are,and I'm far from the only person to say this.
