I did last night for the first time since they shut down the old message boards. I read a few reviews of Star Wars, then left. Ive visited IMDb maybe two or three times, but this was the first time I entered user name and password. I wonder how they've fared since last Feb?

I haven't logged in, but I go there. They removed the rated episodes from tv shows. You can't sort the reviews to see hated it / Liked it. It's all random now.

I have a few times. But without the message boards, there is not much reason to spend a lot of time there.

Yes. I still go there to rate movies after I watch them.

I sign in to rate flicks. Whenever I watch a film I like the trivia and there's always an actor I look up because they look familiar.

Yeah, I've logged in at least a few times since the message boards closed down, mainly to rate movies.

Many times. It's a useful as ever for cast lists, dates of birth and death, and in particular the links between people and movies and shows.
But the loss of the boards is a real loss. What's the point of putting up a review of something you've just seen if there are already 2,000 reviews there - or even 100? Nobody's going to see it.

I haven’t. There’s no point. I used to like going to individual movie boards and hashing them out with fellow fans or foes...though there was a lot of trolling.

It was always obvious to me when somebody was arguing just to argue. I never wasted time with stupid discussions. I used to love to share opinions and observations with other IMDb members.

Has anyone read anything on how closing the boards has affected them as a business? Must have slaughtered their traffic.

Has anyone read anything on how closing the boards has affected them as a business? Must have slaughtered their traffic. No, but I am sure traffic has decreased. I don't think Amazon cares. Since they could not figure out how to make money off the site, eventually they will be closing IMDb down.
