I used my 60+ card. I hoped it would also get me free tea and biscuits. Are you going to disclose who you voted for? I’m an old fashioned Labour voter. Not a party member though. That’s going too far.

South Oxfordshire ?
Yeah, they do sound a bunch of commie cunts. And that fat fucker John Howell is a remainer. No wonder the whoresmelts tried to nobble Boris.
As ID I used my Freedom Pass that has a 20 year old photo. No one turned a hair.
I used my 60+ card. I hoped it would also get me free tea and biscuits.

I might just stick to posting pictures and videos and occasionally chatting with friends and family on Facebook.

Leaving out the g is also part of the London accent. We don’t talk proper. Not all Londoners surely? Certainly not on Aunty Beeb … apart from the down market radio stations and some fick continuity announcers. We still need people who outsiders can understand.

I had to laugh when Morrissey criticised him for his glottal stops when meant he criticised the London Mayor for talking like a Londoner. That’s not a glottal stop though. Isn’t a glottal stop when you pronounce butter like buh-er!? Quite common in Scotland, alas … c.f. a boh-al o’ Scotch! Leaving out the g is also part of the London accent. We don’t talk proper.

The main reason I dislike Khan is that he can’t, or won’t, pronounce the letter g at the ends of words. He’s like Trevor Fucking Brookin(g). I had to laugh when Morrissey criticised him for his glottal stops when meant he criticised the London Mayor for talking like a Londoner.

I like how the most aggressive character in Four Lions is a convert. That movie is funny in places but I found it a bit too close to the bone. Almost making light of a big problem. That’s Chris Morris for you. I’m often tempted to throw Paedogeddon into the anti-grooming threads.

But no more of a threat to the foundation to the nation than McVee or David Koresh, whom McVee was avenging. The acute danger is not my point and I’ve acknowledged it several times. One more time, is Europe in danger of 300 million people or more converting to Islam? Conversion has never been a worry of mine. Not sure why you’re bring it up with me. Vast majority of people here aren’t dim enough to convert to Islam. I like how the most aggressive character in Four Lions is a convert.

I'm just a bit confused why 20-somethings would read different books than the rest of us. I mean, are we talking about dating books and romance novels? Lol I've never read those even in my teens.
In college we start reading the masters of literature. And even if you go to popular novelists like Anne Rice and the lurid vampire love stories, everybody reads those, not just YA.
So what is YA and its purpose?
I mean c'mon grow the fuck up. If you're 20 why would you be reading any different types of literature than when you're 50?
YA literature has always been a thing tho and many YA novels of the past are considered all time classics now, such as Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, The Secret Garden, Of Mice and Men, Wuthering Heights, Robinson Crusoe, The Great Gatsby, The Sorrows of Young Werther, Sense and Sensibility, The Three Musketeers and yes, War and Peace was YA back in the day, too. I thought YA books were books aimed at teens which could also be read by adults but you’re mostly listing books that became popular with younger readers even though they were aimed at a more general readership. Anyway, Wikipedia to the rescue. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_adult_literature

That makes sense but I wouldn’t be surprised if it makes an appearance. Eurovision has idealistic young people as its fanbase it actually makes zero sense. Okay, let them fly the flags.

It’s funny how 88 Minutes (2007) has a running time of 108 minutes.

There’s a conspiracy theory for everything but I think Muslims are capable of doing things for themselves. The far right benefits from this sort of thing which is why they shouldn’t be allowed to control the narrative. I think “the Muslims” are being used in the same way “the border” is in the US. How realistic is the threat is what is never examined before deciding we all need to go right wing to “save our way of life” carcasses. How many times is the “the Fear of The Other” demagoguery going to lead us into yet another political and moral disaster? Some otherwise atheistic social critics like Peterson and Murray are calling for a reinforcement of Christianity as a bulwark against Muslims converting unchurched Europeans to Islam claiming Christianity is the only moral bedrock for modern Western Civilization and consumerism. So, this right wing will to power is creeping up on you guys too. You’ll be as morally fear-addled and politically schizophrenic as the USA in few more years. Exploding Muslims on the London Underground and at Manchester concerts sure don’t help.

How do you know these Islamist voices calling for Sharia and caliphate are not working for the far right? There are Europeans who like the idea of far right dictatorships that control the people to their will too. See the histories of Greece, Spain, Italy, and of course Germany. There’s a conspiracy theory for everything but I think Muslims are capable of doing things for themselves. The far right benefits from this sort of thing which is why they shouldn’t be allowed to control the narrative.
