All things He-Man shall go here.
A trailer for the 2nd season of Kevin Smith's show was recently released:
I'll watch it. I enjoyed season 1 enough. The animation was fucking fantastic. It had good action and mythology too. Yeah, He-Man wasn't in it enough, but he was also in every episode. The complaints that he "wasn't in it" were a little misleading. I was cool with them giving other characters more spotlight, but they took that idea a little too far. It's still miles better than the old cartoon by.
I actually watched the Dolph Lundgren movie fairly recently. Always loved that cheesefest. The sets and costumes aren't half bad. The whole coming to Earth thing was ridiculous, but likes me even more. Frank Langella is legitimately good.
DC did a reboot comic in 2012. It was awesome. Got a little convoluted the longer it went on, but a real good read overall. It even had some fun crossovers with DC heroes and Thundercats.
I have a collection of all the old comics in a big collection (digital). I never finished it, but they're pretty good. Definitely better than the cartoon. Should get back into it one day.
Good artwork and has a story book feel.
I don't see a movie ever getting made again. I know they tried fairly recently and it got canceled. It's just not a popular enough franchise for a feature length film.

I like the 2002 series. I didn’t like the Netflix series.
I want a real MOTU series. It is a good fantasy premise.

I think a movie could work, though I can easily imagine studio execs wanting it to be goofy kind of like ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

Taika Waititi was attached to a Flash Gordon reboot at one point, while we're on the topic of nostalgic sci-fi properties. Though I hadn't heard much about it really, since it was announced.

I think both Chris Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson were at one point rumored for the part.

I don't think the franchise is popular enough, but that aside, what would the tone be if it were up to you? I don't see how you couldn't not be campy with this source material. Love and Thunder is just plain bad. By campy, I mean stuff like Star Wars, Flash Gordon, or the new D&D; which I bailed on by the idea of being lighter was the right approach imo.

Probably something like a Marvel movie quite honestly, but like a Phase One installment, like the first Thor movie or maybe the first Avengers movie.

Something with a story, good action, but not afraid to make you laugh. I'd watch that. There's lots of color and mythology in the He-Man universe.

Yeah, I think people would respond to it if it looks good and is actually marketed well. I actually quite enjoyed the D&D movie that just came out, but I don't think the trailers did a good job of selling the movie. And also, I think there's still that stigma that the franchise is just for players only.

He-Man doesn’t need to be campy. When I think of He-Man’s potential I think of something like Game of Thrones.

I’d prefer something more like GoT or Conan the Barbarian.
