Because they're in control of Gaza it's not an independent nation. They're just starving an ethnic minority in an effort to try and force them to leave. The Israelis might WANT the Palestinians to leave, but it ain't gonna happen, as the only other country that borders Gaza is Egypt, which has no desire to take in Palestinians. |

What was one of the biggest contributors to that?
Aid. Lots and lots of aid. When the Allies moved into a destroyed town they didn't force the people there out for condos for their own people. They restored services and rebuilt the town.

There hasn't been an Israeli there for 19 years if you don't count a couple of very unsuccessful attempts to teach HAMAS a lesson and the kidnapped victims right now. They have a border with Egypt, plenty of Gazans have several passports and they travel the world more than most Arabs. |

You think the Allies weren't providing relief to German citizens on the march to Berlin or to Japanese civilians during the island hopping campaign? You'd be wrong. You're also being disingenuous by implying that the treatment would improve after the shooting stops. Especially with Israel's history of forcibly relocating Palestinians over the past 30 or so years, the denial of building permits which denied stable resettlement, etc. North Gaza will remain a bombed out husk unless someone other than Israel does something about it. |

I did not ask "according to me". I am asking what YOU think Israel should do. If you have no answer, then say so. And, by the way, if the Palestinians really wanted no more Palestinian kids killed, they would urge Hamas to surrender. But they don't, probably because they feel proud when their kids turn into "martyrs". |
