On a side note, have you ever noticed that less diverse countries have higher IQ's? (at least in 1st world nations)

We have always been happy to admit the orientals are cleverer than us. Why are people so reluctant to admit certain other groups are less clever?

The people at the very top, I mean the highest 1% or so, want everyone falling in the 85% to 95% range, to breed with those at the bottom, ensuring the top 1%'s dominance. That's why you don't get academia, medical researchers, corporate interests or government telling you anything but "Stop being racist!". |

I have a feeling the data is not available because the regime doesn't allow such data to be gathered unless it is under their control. A direct IQ comparison between NK and SK would be fascinating, no? The impact of genetics would be all but eliminated, the impact of nutrition would be profound, and the contrasting education styles would probably play a part. At any rate, the government could not have any hand in the testing and collating, or else the average Nork IQ would be 278. |

North Korea is on the list on the Wikipedia page wherefrom this I got, but it has a '?' against the number of nukes, and the IQ site did not list them, so I decided that adding a question-marked country with a question mark for its IQ was beyond my level of interest. |

(at least in 1st world nations) When you live in a 3rd world country and you come from nothing- your parents put a lot of pressure on you for excellent grades. My high school valedictorian was a Vietnamese kid who could barely speak english. Super thick accent.Hard to understand him but he constantly studied. Either its in a very male dominated society( which most 3rd world countries are) Or Japan- which is why they are all hard working and smart it isnt genetics - its parental pressure. |

When you look to a country like Iceland, the average IQ is 102, that isn't very far off from China, and you really can't say they are wealthier than UK or China, so what's left? edit* not to prattle on, but can you name a single invention that came out of Asia that we cannot live without? I mean in our modern time. The light bulb, radio, automobile, locomotive, rocket engine, airplane, computer, telephone, etc. ...if they are "more clever", why are they only using western technology and never innovating? |

I hate to agree with the slimeball doctorinpa, but it does boil down to the parents at the end of the day. Teachers canβt make students study and learn while theyβre home at night.

Studying has nothing to do with IQ - that's the point of the way it's designed, it levels the playing field for everyone regardless of education, because the tests are all based on being able to work something out without any pre-knowledge required. I would say it is mostly down to genetics (must be born with good brain) and diet over many generations (must feed brain well, i.e. protein, not carbs). |
