As a Brit, you should know that China is only a world economic power now because Britain released control of Hong Kong back to China in 1999. Oh please. That's peanuts compared to the billions of useless shit that the US buys every year from China. China is becoming a superpower because of the US buying its cheap garbage products in giant volumes. On a side note, have you ever noticed that less diverse countries have higher IQ's? (at least in 1st world nations) When you live in a 3rd world country and you come from nothing- your parents put a lot of pressure on you for excellent grades. My high school valedictorian was a Vietnamese kid who could barely speak english. Super thick accent.Hard to understand him but he constantly studied. Either its in a very male dominated society( which most 3rd world countries are) Or Japan- which is why they are all hard working and smart it isnt genetics - its parental pressure. Japan also an incredibly high suicide rate because the culture involves working TOO HARD. |

We have always been happy to admit the orientals are cleverer than us. Why are people so reluctant to admit certain other groups are less clever? I'd love to see the results of IQ done by race or genetic group. The scientific community refuse to do so. I think we'd find they aren't more clever. Indeed it needs to be broken down further. The big issue with the UK, France and US number is it's impossible to just represent people from those countries as if it's one big ethnic group, as opposed to China which is largely a mono-ethnic society. I'm sure part of the scientific community's reluctance to draw conclusions based on ethnicity is that it would then reach into socio-anthropology and not just statistics. Coupled with that, coming up with broad explanations based on ethnicity is a potential mindfield where any conclusion can be twisted for ulterior motives. |

No, the only reason why China is unhappily becoming the next world power is because Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the U.N. China was not ready for that. But it's not like any of that can be undone, such decisions are permanent. Like the decision not to vote because the candidates were less than perfect.
