Nah, it sounds like you're desperate to pick a fight over nothing. But yes, Republicans will try to control the budget and an act like this might very well have been cut from a spending bill.
As for your PC concerns about a word:
Again, pure fiction from you and a song that's from the 70s proves nothing but your irrelevant frame of reference. It proves that you have a bug up your ass about nothing. Edgy? Lol.

It proves that you are as repellant as your bigotry to be so thin-skinned and busting with false pride that you'd double down defending a term that is so abhorrent it is used by no one in the U.S. for decades, save you.

That's edgy? Someone's desperate. But yes, I speak for all America!!! You're desperate and your bigotry is disgusting and stupid. No one says "Mongoloid" in the U.S. and there have been laws on the books for decades which appropriately protect the genetically and developmentally disabled, the passage of which from bill to law were protested by no one. The condition is called Down Syndrome and Down's Syndrome. Both terms are correct. Was Richard Dawkins right about terminating pregnancies? www.theguardian.com/science/2014/aug/21/richard-dawkins-immoral-not-to-abort-a-downs-syndrome-foetus"No one"? Nah. Not Texas Ranger Earl McGraw- This board is a nice break from Politics. It is good to be on the Pleasant Conversation board with pleasant people. Like me.

Well you're angry. I'm not.
First, it is quite true that an issue like this shows the differences between American conservatives and British conservatives. Tories are center right. Republicans range, but there is a strong right in the Republican Party which would shoot down any spending bill before Congress, including one which gave more money to victims of Down Syndrome. You know that as well as I do. Is there enough money now being spent on this issue? I honestly don't know. But I do know some Republicans would believe extra spending on this should come from the private sector, not government.
Second, I do not shudder at words. I don't give a rat's ass if someone calls me a faggot. So if "mongoloid" is the colloquial term for one with Down Syndrome, I don't give two shits. It has nothing to do with how I treat people or my position on funding. I'd say if we can spend trillions on Asians wars which have nothing to do with out nation security, we can spend a few million on Down Syndrome ... er, mongoloids.
Edgy enough for yah? <<< [fag eyes]

I recall thinking “It’s the 2nd now so not an April Fool’s Day joke.” A month prior she’d said she was done posting freely on your board because you’d recruited a number of “pro-rape” “older men” who “posted in favor of sex with teenage girls.” I’d never possessed nor shown an iota of interest in your board prior. Her opinion simply put the nail in the coffin. I frankly can’t count the number of times, which date back well before all this, she asked me both in various forms and explicitly if I consider you a friend and if so, why. Despite an insipid character like “Cerridwen” cattily telling me it’s nice to see klam is a “fan” of mine, I never saw that imbalance. More accurately, klam’s extremely low opinion of you has held sway with me for some time. So if there’s a bug up my ass, her name is klam.

If so, I would ban them.
And I'm not gonna speak second-hand about what others may have said or done.

Really? You need me to copy and paste what I posted to counter your pitiful attempt to twist what you just read? She said she was done posting freely on your board because you’d recruited a number of “pro-rape” “older men” who “posted in favor of sex with teenage girls.” Oh my gosh. When did you instate this policy? Where do I sign up to be covered by it? Thanks for the laugh.

Edgy enough for yah? <<< [fag eyes] As I've said repeatedly and hours ago, pure fiction. imdb1.freeforums.net/post/198365/threadWhat did you fail to comprehend about "in the U.S. there have been laws on the books for decades which appropriately protect the genetically and developmentally disabled, the passage of which from bill to law were protested by no one." The Americans with Disabilities Act not only provides protections, it also provides benefits. You're babbling on and on about fictitious differences between Brits and Americans when the only difference pertaining to this thread's original post is that in the U.S. we've had laws on the books which have provided such protections and benefits since July 26, 1990. I know that's 13 years later than your Devo song which was the last time you updated your body of knowledge, nonetheless it's law here for almost 32 years.

Here's a 2017 article about the Republican's health care bill which was defeated.

In spite of that big bag of hyper-agendized bullshit written in 2017, no such "stripping" ever occurred and with regards to its abilities to enforce the Americans with Disabilities Act, Medicaid is better funded than ever. But that's only in reality in the U.S. in 2022, not anywhere you inhabit. Better luck in your continued Googling though. As an aside, how completely bizarre that you're so eager to rewrite reality into being a terrible place rather than bragging on your own country that, under the law, it's been protecting and supporting its disabled for over three decades. Just falling all over yourself to be a destructive contrarian. As Baz used to post to you, #2edgy4me.

Good. If we can't help the more vulnerable members of society, then we ain't worth our weight in salt
Same argument applies to abortion. Actually, you don't want to do any of these things for un-aborted babies. After lobbying the government, listening to issues from people with Down's syndrome and gaining the support of MPs, the Down Syndrome Act has been given Royal Assent.
The Act will give people with Down's syndrome better rights with housing, education, social care and healthcare.

They should refer to it properly (Down's Syndrome) instead of using a belittler. Okay, I'll be sure to say Downze next time I talk to a retard. I want to be proper.
