You haven't tried my stuff! But yes, all self-taught. I decided a few weeks ago to make Sundays my treat days (no calorie counting) and make a dish from a different country each time. It's quite nice learning about different cuisines. Anything I should try from your part of the world? I already have a couple of ideas for next week - look for the quiz! Well I’ve been eating kangaroo sausages, but there’s nothing to them. Just put them on a pan like any other sausages. I put American mustard and low sugar tomato sauce on them. Alongside that I have a cheesy cauliflower rice. But it’s hardly a treat. It’s a rather healthy meal. I guess something Australian would be a Vegemite toastie. You probably have had them with marmite. Much less elaborate than enchiladas (but much more sophisticated). Use a baguette or other bread roll, slice it lengthways and then butter it and put Vegemite on it, then add a lot of grated cheese on top. Then put it under the grill. I can’t find photos of it online, they only have closed sandwiches which isn’t right. Anyway that’s what we had in our tuck shop at school. “Just put them on a pan like any other sausages, but they keep jumping out.”

They are sold in every supermarket here and it’s inexpensive. It’s a red meat and supposedly there are many advantages to the environment to eat kangaroo over cows. There are some who really tried to push it to become a popular meat but it hasn’t really taken off yet.

Yeah, there's really no reason not to.

Yeah, there's really no reason not to. You can get it over here - it's delicious. Also leaner and less environmentally damaging.

They market buffalo meat here as healthier and more ecologically friendly. But I've tried buffalo hamburger and it's awful, like eating beef jerky.
But yeah, I'd try kangaroo.
