I agree that the origin is a pair of twats, but that gets amplified massively by loads of news sites and TV programmes running with it, and that gets amplified again when it goes into workplaces (endless inclusivity training these days) and schools (curricula now featuring such studies quite prominently). It's a lot bigger than you think, I would say. A female friend of my son's a teacher, I'll have to find out whether that's true or just the usual over reporting. Sometimes the reporting is so wrong it's unbelievable like young kids being told to be nice to all different people being reported as encouraging transsexual and the like. Media has become so entrenched and people so in need of having their points agreed with that they don't seek out unbiased facts although that becomes harder and harder with each day to locate. I tend to go on experience, I get constantly told the NHS is unable to function for one reason or another, yet through Covid I've had 5 operations and been treated absolutely wonderfully on each occasion, yes the staff admit they are run off their feet but it certainly ticks along nicely where I am. Didn’t the Brits invent tabloid reporting too. Or was that Charles Foster Kane?

All I get from all this constant nonsense is that the UK is too woke and not woke enough. I only read the news, so never see these stories, people must be actively seeking them out on some kind of "affirmation" basis to try and prove a point. Seems like way too much hard work spending time trawling through Stormfront or "woke weekly" just to prove how downtrodden you are. Still, whatever gets you through the night I guess. I think a lot of this stuff comes from people reading through lots of news sites and posting a selection of items on various message boards. That’s how we ended up with an American starting thread about an old Cowboys and Indians game being removed from an English seaside arcade last year. :)

What's stopping the from moving to the country side? Nobody ever rolled out the welcome mat for me. No matter where I lived or moved to. The article was written by a victim vampire. The country side means you want to keep your neighbors at a distance. You don't want to live right next door to someone where you can hear them screwing. And I did read the dumb article. People don't have to like you. They just have to leave you alone. And you them. Also if the property owners doesn't give you permission to be on their land camping. Tough shit. It's their land. "Nobody ever rolled out the welcome mat for me." Really? That's odd, you seem such a delight and all.

Well, I consider myself left wing, can you name race threads that I start? Just get sick of certain posters and the non stop race threads. Expect it on the crazy board, this one usually avoids the culture nonsense. Please don’t pretend race isn’t an issue in your nation or it is just Americans. Nowhere near the obsession it is in the US. When it does turn up it tends to be as an immigration thing outside of the few culture warriors and professional victims. Honestly never encountered the sort of nutty conversations you see on the US board in the UK.

Brexit meant something more than detachment from an unwieldy over-government, it’s about your cultural and racial identity. And England has a huge one. And there are two sides of racism because the negative traits of the other race are always measured against the positive traits of the race doing the talking, even if those traits are bullshit.

So we invented whiteness because at one point we ruled a major part of North America. Got it! :) Who invented it then? Black people? You boys with no race blamed them for their own enslavement. What role did certain countries in Africa have to do with slavery? They enslaved other blacks themselves before they got the bright idea to sell them to other countries. And I had no idea Asia was so welcoming towards the Africans. And maybe 'whiteness' was invented cuz the majority of the population was white, idiot.

If so, that’s some powerful African voodoo. No wonder white folks are naturally afraid of Africans.

Yes, because they sold and marketed them as slaves, not royalty. And speak for yourself.

Yes, because they sold and marketed them as slaves, not royalty. And speak for yourself. So, that’s it. The enslavers are blameless, while the enslaved totally guilty. Yep, that’s the same narrative I was taught as a child.

Yep, that’s the same narrative I was taught as a child. Link to where I said that. I said it was the BLACK AFRICANS (from whichever country was involved) that SOLD AND MARKETED SLAVES TO OTHER COUNTRIES. THEY (BLACK AFRICANS) rounded up and OWNED SLAVES THEMSELVES. How are THEY blameless?

Yep, that’s the same narrative I was taught as a child. Africans themselves, The Ashanti for one, bear most of the culpability for slavery.
The British fought to end slavery. The Ashanti fought to continue it. They profited from it. There were no Whites running into Africa and kidnapping those people into slavery.

How are THEY blameless? The question is who invented racism, because obviously someone did. Therefore, are you saying because the Africans enslaved other Africans and sold them to Europeans, racism was invented there and by them? If not, who do you think did?
