I'm not sure how this is even a criticism. It's an element of the movie, isn't? Besides, many would argue that creating a title sequence is an art form of its own. You're talking about seconds in a 2 hour movie. Minutes, actually. I don't even remember it. Exactly. That's the problem. It's not a problem at all. It has no baring on my enjoyment of a movie. It's the fucking credits.

Putting aside your dismissal for an important filmmaking element, a lot of people praised the title sequences of the first two "Guardians" movies. It is something people notice. It is something with a precedent and a standard that this third installment should be judged for.

It has no baring on the plot, storyline, quality of the effects or performances. You could say the same thing about the music score, the songs, the sound effects, the costumes, etc...

It was good. Gunn went darker than expected and there were a couple emotionally effective scenes. It gets too melodramatic in some cases, though. It can be too much. I also can’t believe they ended it like an early 2000s animated movie and had everyone dancing. It’s just too goofy for me. Rocket’s story was really good, which helped the rest of the story end up feeling very well done too. The villain is easily one of the best we’ve seen in the MCU.

I have had "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" stuck in my head since I saw this Thursday. Stupid Alice Cooper cover song, not any of his incredible original songs, & it won't go away. Because it was SO PERFECT. Starlord off on one of his hairbrained schemes & this song playing.... I love that song... (Goes To Hell is one of the best albulms ever made)

Saw it today. I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the best superhero trilogies.

Get your bearings, man! This is my cross to bear. It has great bearing on your readers' impression of you. All bears. 🐻 Now you know for next time. G'bye. 💨

Have you heard about the animal cruelty depictions controversary ? If it’s too distasteful then that wouldn’t surprise me. Gunn has an inability to discern what is tasteful and I wouldn’t be suprised if Disney dropped the ball again. The High Evolutionary is an absolute monster. In his goal to make a perfect race, he has no qualms about burning failed experiments. None of which are actual animals. They are what he has evolved so they are CGI. We have seen Rocket's scars. Is is so hard to understand that the scientist that could do that is on the level of Nazis in their pursuit of a master race? Or is it Kraglan calling Cosmo a bad dog the cruelty you speak of? That was tough The half cyborg wildlife was gross and out of a Tim Burton movie but it was the best Guardians movie without a doubt and one of the best MCU movies. Quill was still rather pathetic though.

Glad this is successful. Hopefully Feige learns this simple lesson:
Good directors and good movies make money. Bad directors (Peyton f***ing Reed) and bad movies (Quantum-f****ing-Mania) don’t.
