There's a rumor that Emma Stone was the first choice to play Sue Storm but turned it down.

I think enough of the audience was familiar with the fancasting to throw it in there as a gag. It's the same reason they got Evan Peters for Pietro in WandaVision, just a wink to the audience. A ton of Loki variants aren't played by Tom Hiddleston on the show. Hell, one was an alligator. Captain Marvel was different in MoM, it was Maria instead of Carol. And those were established characters as opposed to a new one being introduced, they could do whatever they wanted to with Reed. Why not have a little fun with a one-off appearance? Playing so loose with the rules of the multiverse, I think, is a huge reason why it isn’t landing with audiences. The MCU is generally pretty bad when it comes to consistent mythology. They barely care about their cosmic mythology at all (everything is random or worse, a joke) and the lack of consistent world building regarding the new central theme/threat is backfiring. The multiverse is all over the place, doing whatever they need movie by movie, show by show, and it feels like a cheap gimmick as a result. Huh? What part of multiverse of madness don't you get? And even the mythology itself isn't consistent.

I'm disappointed John Krasinski isn't playing Richards. Oh, well.

I'm disappointed John Krasinski isn't playing Richards. Oh, well. I think he’s too old for the role, and his MoM appearance was just fan-service. Then again, Mahershala Ali is around the same age or older, but he’s still tapped to play Blade. Until he ages out of that part as well.

Some online scoopers think this is a hint at Banderas being cast as Galactus.

The only thing I expect from comic book movies is what I expect from any popcorn movie, does it entertain me.

Give it whirl, but that way is madness. If they are true to the mythology, then at some point, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki gives birth to an eight-legged horse and he and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor do a version of Josephine and Daphne from Some Like it Hot.

A good choice. But WHY did they bother to cast Krasinski? I am still perplexed at what the point of that was. Why didn’t they just decide on the real actor or just not have that character in Dr Strange? Feige makes some weird choices nowadays. *shrugs* Cuz the fans wanted it or something, I guess. Fans are idiots. They told Dwayne Johnson he looks like Black Adam and look how that turned out. He lost his hair and didn’t look like Black Adam any more.
