A movie insider shared some information they heard about the upcoming movie. From Jeff Sneider:
"I'm told that Matt Shakman is planning to go very cosmic with his 'Fantastic Four' movie. Lots of 1960s elements, and that the film will feature both Galactus and the Silver Surfer."

Rumor going around that Adam Driver is in talks for Reed Richards. A good choice. But WHY did they bother to cast Krasinski? I am still perplexed at what the point of that was. Why didn’t they just decide on the real actor or just not have that character in Dr Strange? Feige makes some weird choices nowadays.

How many people in the theater were even aware of that fan casting? Weird thing to pander to. Also, it makes it super confusing considering all the other variants are played by the main canon actors (Spiderman legacy characters aside).

Not my first choice.
Also this guy says that Mila Kunis is not in talks to play Sue Storm.

Oof I hope that's not true. Talk about self sabotage.

New batch of rumors saying that Paul Mescal has been offered Johnny Storm/Human Torch while Margot Robbie is in talks for Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.

I think enough of the audience was familiar with the fancasting to throw it in there as a gag. It's the same reason they got Evan Peters for Pietro in WandaVision, just a wink to the audience. A ton of Loki variants aren't played by Tom Hiddleston on the show. Hell, one was an alligator. Captain Marvel was different in MoM, it was Maria instead of Carol. And those were established characters as opposed to a new one being introduced, they could do whatever they wanted to with Reed. Why not have a little fun with a one-off appearance?

Playing so loose with the rules of the multiverse, I think, is a huge reason why it isn’t landing with audiences. The MCU is generally pretty bad when it comes to consistent mythology. They barely care about their cosmic mythology at all (everything is random or worse, a joke) and the lack of consistent world building regarding the new central theme/threat is backfiring. The multiverse is all over the place, doing whatever they need movie by movie, show by show, and it feels like a cheap gimmick as a result.

Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are going to be cameo fests if Feige has his way. A lighter than air script filled with winks and nods, like No Way Home. Imagine that MoM sequence was two and a half hours, that'll be what we get with those flicks. When it gets really confusing is when they have to replace Majors. They have a scene with literally hundreds of the guy at the end of Quantumania, now they have to recast and go in a completely different direction.

I know that aliens feature prominently in the Fantastic Four lore but I don’t like aliens as much as earthling characters. I prefer seeing superheroes take on costumed villains in alleyways and rooftops. With Fantastic Four, they have earthling characters like Doom and Mole Man.
I guess I don’t like the MCU’s take on aliens either. They all have all too earthly voices. I’d prefer if they were presented in a much more other-worldly manner, like in Prometheus. With Thor for example, I always imagined he’d glow slightly and everyone would awe in his presence. But nope, he’s just a wise-cracking goofball.
There is some nice make-up and costuming but honestly, even Star Trek does aliens better than the MCU.
