The idea that you are unwilling to try to exist in a way that keeps things stable to prevent mass deaths of other species is horribly selfish and a disgrace to all things living. And no, I will not leave others out of it. A dead Earth is no use to any species, including us. So, stand idly by during all of the death all you want (I wish you wouldn't), but leave others with consciences out of that.
I do more to conserve and not harm than most. That doesn't mean I'm blind to the rest of humanity or the nature of life on this planet.
They stopped even talking about population controls years ago..........so the rest is just throwing stones at the moon, as far as I'm concerned.

It makes me very sad.

I often tell people.........you either gotta laugh or cry at life in general.
I'm gonna laugh.
It's darkly funny to me watching humans.

I'm happy to laugh at humans but I cannot feel anything other than sad about the impact on other species. I may be some kind of nut (I hope not) but I genuinely care about our planet and other species. Most TV I watch is wildlife programmes. (Or comedy panel shows, so there's the laughing at humans as well.)

I hate to be Debbie Downer all the time. :P
But I saw a bottled water brand the other day that was bragging on it's label that the bottle was made from 100% recycled plastic.
And then I recalled a recent stat that 8-9 out of every 10 plastic water bottles ends up in the land fill and not recycled. :P
People........

Greenland was actually green not that long ago historically. And the planet thrived. So...
Think how nice it will be when the temps go up a bit more, exposing much more habitable land.
You could try reading literature from climate scientists rather than deniers. Any habitable land will likely be dwarfed by the worlds most productive land flooded by rising seas or turned into hot deserts.

Isn't there an in between?
There are many human settlements offshore from thousands of years ago. Many more likely lie undiscovered.

Almost impossible to find a beach these days that doesn't look like that (unless it is constantly tidied). The great Pacific garbage patch (is that the name?) is hundreds of miles across of floating garbage, somewhere north of Hawaii.

I've seen some great new tech that is scooping that stuff up - might take years, but good luck to them!

Then there was that warmer period before approximately 12,500 years ago

Actually, no. The Medieval Warm Period happened just before the LIA.
