"...Noted scooper Jeff Sneider recently responded to a fan asking for an update on The Batman Part II that was "worth reporting" on a recent episode of The Hot Mic. "Is there a rumor that the villain is going to be Hush? Maybe. Maybe that rumor exists… I have heard whispers of a Hush," Sneider teased. However, Sneider clarified that Hush being in The Batman Part II remains a rumor and that he can not confirm its accuracy."
So are they ditching Joker, Riddler and Catwoman? They seem to introduce new foes without confirming the return of established ones. We know Penguin is returning, but that seems to be all from the original film who is confirmed. There was also a reference to Hush in the first movie;the last name for the reporter killed by Falcone is Elliot. And there's other rumors about Mr. Freeze or Clay Face making an appearance. I'd be very much interested to see Matt Reeves' interpretation of those characters. But I'm uncertain if they will actually appear.

I do hope Riddler gets a lot of screen time. Maybe give him a major subplot or have him play a role in the main villain’s plan. We need more Riddler action.

"...According to insider Daniel Richtman (via Patreon), Warner Bros./DC Studios are developing a standalone Scarecrow movie set in the same universe as Matt Reeves' The Batman."
Hmm, sounds kind of bogus.

Scarecrow is a great choice for the Reeves series, but… a stand-alone movie? Because the Morbius movie was so successful?

John Rocha and Jeff Sneider sticking to their guns.

Hush is such a boring choice. Bring on Scarecrow though.

Hush is such a boring choice. Bring on Scarecrow though. I’d be more interested in seeing how Clayface is done-if the rumor is accurate. I think he could be a fun villain, but I can easily see him being a retread of Sandman in SM3. Unless he’s given a more monstrous design.

Rumor was they were doing the Golden Age ClayFace where he disguised himself with masks.
