Sorry to hear that Jeff. Take the time that you need. Just remember Sonja would want you to be happy after that grieving period. Lean on your support network, it seems like there is no shortage there. The hole will always be there but you will learn to cope with it better in time. Sonja is a pretty name
Her journey has not ended and she will be looked after in the spiritual plane. Neither has yours
Just remember she is not alone and not the first. Others have marched there. We will all follow. The never-ending wheel of life

So sorry for your loss, I have nigh on 40 years of marriage behind me and can't imagine what I would do without my wife. Frankly there are no words adequate, I only hope your pain subsides slightly in the fullness of time to a wonderful appreciation of all you shared.

Love, the greatest gift we can give one another, co-exists with loss. The greater our love, the greater our sense of loss. But what a gift to walk beside someone through life. To love is also to feel gratitude. You're clearly very grateful to your wife, for your wife, for all you've shared.
I hope your memories are beautiful, wondrous, funny, and comforting. I believe Sonja is with you, always.

I never know what to say in these situations. It sounds like you were fortunate to have one another, to love each other like that. You were one unit, and now half of it is gone. I am very sorry.
