Those in all the arts, including films, related by blood or by marriage, one or two at a time, or more, however it works out.
I'll start with this, nice and simple:
Actor Jim Hutton was the father of actor, Timothy Hutton, who was married first to actress Debra Winger. Their son, Noah Hutton, is a director/cinematographer.
Debra later married actor Arliss Howard.
Timothy's second marriage was to graphic film artist Aurore Giscard d'Estaing. To my surprise, I discovered that her uncle is Valéry Giscard d'Estainglink, the president of France from 1974 until 1981. (He's not in the arts, I know, but seriously, how could I let that one go by?)

Bruce Dern married actress Diane Ladd and their daughter is actress Laura Dern, who married actor/composer, Ben Harper.
Dern's maternal granduncle was the poet Archibald MacLeish.
And not in the arts, but highly notable: Dern's grandfather was George Dern, the Governer of Utah from 1925-1933 and the United States Secretary of War from 1933 to his death in 1936. Another interesting relationship, though not by blood or marriage: His godfather was the governor of Illinois and two-time presidential nominee, Adlai Stevenson.

The Cusack clan. The Irish actors Cyril and Maureen Cusack have three daughters who appear regularly in all the best British sitcoms and crime shows. Sinead has been in Midsomer Murders and Poirot. Sorcha was a regular in Coronation Street and Father Brown. Niamh has been in numerous Shakespeare plays on stage and TV. Several others of the family also have careers on stage.

Oh, you are so right about that! And now you've minded me of the Mills clan.
John Mills married writer Mary Hayley Bell, and their daughters, Juliet and Hayley Mills, became prominent actresses. One of Hayley's early projects was an adaptation of her mother's novel, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND.
Juliet married actor Maxwell Caulfield. Their son, Sean Alquist, is a music video director.
Hayley married and later divorced the prominent director, Roy Boulting.
They had one son, Crispian Mills, who's the lead singer for Kula Shaker, an English psychedelic rock band.
Roy Boulting's twin brother was John Boulting.
The Boulting brothers produced and directed many outstanding films together, including I'M ALL RIGHT JACK, THE MAGIC BOX, BRIGHTON ROCK, and (where Roy met Hayley) THE FAMILY WAY.

British Actor Harry Lloyd (The Theory Of Everything; Game Of Thrones) is a great-great-great-grandson of author Charles Dickens and has appeared in television adaptations of two of his novels. He played Young Steerforth in David Copperfield (1999) and Herbert Pocket in Great Expectations (2011).

theravenking , He even looks like his great-great-great-grandfather! Even in the eyes. It's amazing. Thanks for the connection. (And the fact that he got to appear in some Dicken's works is amazing, too.) And now you've reminded me of another with literary connections, though not that far back: Daniel Day-Lewis is the son of Cecil Day-Lewis, who was Irish Poet Laureate from 1968 until his death in 1972. Cecil also wrote mystery stories under the pseudonym of Nicholas Blake, most of which feature the fictional detective Nigel Strangeways.
Daniel's mother was British actress, Jill Balcon, and her father, Daniel's maternal grandfather, was Sir Michael Balcon, who became the head of Ealing Studios, helping develop the new British film industry.
Daniel's sister is Lydia Tamasin Day-Lewis, an English television chef and food critic, and author of dozens of books on that subject.
Daniel's wife is filmmaker and writer, Rebecca Miller. Her father was the great American playwright, Arthur Miller. Her mother was the prominent photographer, Inge Morath.

I remember at one time there were plans to bring the Nigel Strangeways novels to screen and it was even considered to have Daniel Day-Lewis play the character originally created by his father, however sadly nothing came of it.

I'm not familiar with those novels, raven, but they sound very interesting. And to have Daniel play the Strangeways character in their film versions would have been quite remarkable in so many ways, I think. Maybe it'll still happen one of these days. One can hope.
