I would prefer the law to take care of situations like this. Call me old-fashioned, or a leftie, or whatever.

I would prefer the law to take care of situations like this. Me too.
Unfortunately, it don't.

Is it: “Look, ah’m no a fucken buftie, aw right?”? Nope. “He knows a lot about Sean Connery though”?

“He knows a lot about Sean Connery though”? I'm off out soon, and was going to keep you hanging for the rest of the afternoon, but I'm not that cruel - "thirs nothin like a darker skin tone tae increase the vigilance ay the police n the magistrates"

Decades since I read it admittedly.

In Germany Lufthansa and others plan to sue blockaders for some outages in Hamburg and Düsseldorf this month. I'm cases like these the damage is easy to calculate. And I expect the blockaders will hope for money from their supporters. But calculating the damage of blockading a street is far more difficult.

That's the problem with these groups - their hearts are in the right place I imagine, but they basically piss off potential allies with crap like this. Yeah, they allow the frothing wankers of the right to get up on their climate denial hobby horses. the tactics are all wrong and self defeating. Would rather see them full on protesting at the Embassies of those countries who cause the most pollution and do the least. They tend to attention seeking at the expense of the message and the real problem.

Would rather see them full on protesting at the Embassies of those countries who cause the most pollution and do the least. Not always easy to work out though. For instance, China has the highest overall CO2 emissions, but it's per capita emissions are only marginally worse than the UK's (and considerably better than the USA's). You also have to factor in that a lot of manufacturing and energy extraction is done in the Third World on behalf of First World countries, essentially outsourcing pollution. I think nearly every country needs to improve drastically though definitely some more than others. For this reason, I see no real issue with JSO applying pressure to the UK to improve and linking with pressure groups in other countries. But their tactics are all wrong. You're not going to build a strong grass roots movement to pressure government when your tactics punish normal people.

I fully accept we need to move from fossil fuels, which is why I always advocate nuclear power. I would happily batter these wankers and would laugh if I saw them get a kicking by irate drivers. The working class are already suffering due to the cost of living crisis and high inflation, we don't need these over privileged, workshy soap dodgers making our lives more difficult. Stopping young women taking their babies to hospital is not going to save the planet. The funny thing is that these pricks will also support mass immigration....

They are just narcissists at the end of the day.

I wonder what JSO think about nuclear power? I definitely think it's something the green movement needs to reconsider.
