If United don't spend 350 million in the summer, they're done as a club.

A terrible Barcelona through (Liverpool should tear them to bits). And a terrible Juventus beaten (City will destroy Ajax).

If United don't spend 350 million in the summer, they're done as a club. Bit over dramatic. Out of the big 6, Spurs spend less than the others by a huge amount yet are having a great season. It's abut picking and nurturing the right talent and Ole having a "director of football" foisted above his head doesn't bode well, but this is the new way, copying European football. Pep and Klopp have the power to pick the players themselves, not sure that is the case elsewhere where directors and CEOs are running the decisions. I'd sell Pogba in a heart beat though as I believe he's a disruptive factor and that would get a good 100mill+.

Even Liverpool are now spending 75 million on defenders and goalkeepers. Pogba is the only class player they have.

If Spurs finish 3rd on a comparative shoestring to the other 5 its a great achievement. Okay he had a bad night last night but to say De Gea isnt a"class player" isjust nonsense. He's certainly one of the best 3 keepers in the world and would get in any other Prem side including City.

Where they finish is irrelevant. They have to be willing to break the bank and buy top class players who are already top class players. Liverpool spent the 90s and 00s investing in youth, buying cheap foreigners and hoping they'd become world beaters (rarely happened) and they won the occasional cup but got nowhere near the league title. Liverpool are now a club that is spending silly money on defenders like Van Dijk. In 2008, United's attacking players were Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, Saha. Today their attacking players are Lukaku, Rashford, Martial. Not good enough.
