What if some people just wanna be left alone? The Amish?
Mormons?
Voo Doo practitioners? etc etc
That's not how things work though
How things work?
What if it works for them and theirs?
What if where 'it works'.......it doesn't seem to be working all that well?
I'm reminded of my feelings on charity........the only way it should work is on a voluntary basis, imo.

So instead of trying to change things, you whine like baby, that you're taking your ball and going home?

What's wrong with asking questions about the methods? What if some disagree with your brand of change?
What if some never agreed to your little game of ball in the first place?

only in the fact that i can punch my own ticket at anytime i want. once we get our brains transferred into andriods and living for thousands of years with no chance of sexual relief, we'll be denied that sovereignty as well. no more hookers and blow, just work work work. [sad2] bartlesby mikemonger hugsfromlv426 Hmm... what makes you think we'd get the android bodies? That'd be for the superrich so they could be effectively immortal. We can barely afford mundane medical treatment in a lot of cases. I'm not too worried about the pains of insensate immortality through technology. If the plutocracy needs laborers, we're not going to use humans; we'd just use robots and AI.

Here's an idea: If tax resisters don't want to pay taxes, let them get away with it; but everytime they use a public road, they pay a fee of 10 dollars. And if they use services like clean water, health care services, and police, they pay fees as well. And the driver's license costs 10 times of what a taxpayer has to pay.
Let's milk them.

You may now return to your blissful state of not thinking. ;)

Isn't that inalienable rights line from the American Declaration of independence? So those inalienable rights recognized by the US are not necessarily recognized by other nations, nor are they actually American since we were not a nation at the time.
Yes, yes it is.
Are they recognized fully though? Your rights are defined by the Constitution. The Supreme Court decides whether your rights are recognised fully.
Why should other nations recognize them? I certainly do not expect everyone to abide the the rules we set up here. Other nations recognise US rights via the worlds most powerful military. Ask Julian Assange or the dozens of people locked up permanently in Guantanamo Bay who offer no conceivable harm to America (except perhaps revenge for their capture, torture and incarceration).

A whole nother thread could that matter............but in that particular case, YOU agreed to make that arrangement.
Unless it was some sort of arranged thing?

They are. Too bad the courts have been a bit unreliable over the years.
So might makes right? It's about force?
Good examples of what MY Govt gets up to .........that millions of Americans disagree with, by the way.
