No idea why this should be an issue, unless the argument is: Executives need to exponentially earn more money, workers do not.
Have you looked at the prices of new vehicles lately?
Do you think those pay bumps might affect those prices?
And how much has the raises on chief executives have affected prices? But as always, they want the workers to make the sacrifices. |

I've already seen combine drivers program the coordinates of their fields into a GPS and basically sit there and enjoy the (boring) ride. We have discussed upgrading to the new John Deere Starfire guidance system but we haven't decided if the investment is worth it yet. Funny that you mention a farmer just along for the ride as our banker said something similar back in April. Something similar to this:  The tech sounds cool but if you look under the hood, application times suck. The dude that has been spraying his fields with it said he has to refill the tank every 20 minutes. That's way too slow to be useful. So it goes. |

That's how I'd handle the UAW at this point.
Shouldn't be hard to replace them even for a fraction of the current cost

Yes, and you know my position. It's the Govt's job to keep out illegals. It's the businesses job to stay in business.
Here's a simple for instance..........DID YOU KNOW that businesses are often required to purchase certain things thru 'licensed distributors'? Like alcohol and Pepsi as an example. And these distributors do not give the Wholesale price like you'd figure any business could get by buying in bulk. In fact, they pay more than you or I would going to the grocery store.
Don't you find that silly and outrageous? A perfect example of Govt corruption and interference?
