You know my position. Why blame the migrants when it's employers like this wanting them here. They should go after the employers like Trump that hire undocumented workers.
Yes, and you know my position. It's the Govt's job to keep out illegals. It's the businesses job to stay in business.
Here's a simple for instance..........DID YOU KNOW that businesses are often required to purchase certain things thru 'licensed distributors'? Like alcohol and Pepsi as an example. And these distributors do not give the Wholesale price like you'd figure any business could get by buying in bulk. In fact, they pay more than you or I would going to the grocery store.
Don't you find that silly and outrageous? A perfect example of Govt corruption and interference?
You mean the people like McDonald's that buy syrup? Not cans of soda? Do you not want real Pepsi? Or do you want a store brand knock off? Why wouldn't they buy from a distributor? Think Pepsi wants to deal with 1 million purchasers? They make the product. Someone else ships it to the various stores. We the consumer decides which store we want to deal with. This week Vons & Ralph's has the same price on soda so it will come down to what else I need to buy for where I am shopping. You think it's the government doing that? Coke & Pepsi have set it up to be most beneficial to their bottom line. You understand there are discounts offered at different times by the company to the buyers.

I used to have a 4 head soda machine and syrup boxes in my house. Those bags were economical at about $25. Now? They want about $100/box.
I always prefer Real Sugar Pepsi these days. I did drink a tap Coca- Cola from McDs the other nite, though. That's what many places do.....offer one brand but not the other.
Because they'd save $Money? Going to Sam's club or Costco and buying in bulk can save people a lotta money.
We the consumer do..........but often Businesses are not allowed to choose. I'm pointing that out to you and you're blowing it off.
I'll be loading up this week, too.........but many businesses can not.
I wish they'd offer those discounts more often.....or just keep the lower price. But I do feel bad businesses are getting hosed.

So you think Pepsi wants to deal with trucks & repairs? Employees, sick leave, etc? So Frito-Lay had to deal with the problem, not PepsiCo. They probably made the distributors. You know one of my bitches against Walmart is they treat their employees & their distributors like crap. They tell their Pepsi distributor "we have xxx customers per week. Sell your product to us for $$ or we won't sell it"

Yet you guys insist the workplace is back to normal and the economy is great? The reason those people were working 84 hours/week was because a great deal of places are short of workers. The place I work has been short since before Covid.......and that didn't help at all.
You feel that about Walmart.........but have never worked for them. Millions have, some had bad experiences.....others prefer to work for them. Their truckers are making a killing right now.....know why? Cuz they're shorthanded and paying big time to keep these guys on the road.
THAT's supposed to be how bulk purchasing works. If Walmart sells a Million cases a week vs Joe's Grocery's 200, I'd expect Wallyworld to get a better deal.
Where's your disdain for the Govt NOT getting those bulk discount deals? on drugs? on supplies? or medical services? etc etc etc? And THEY'RE the Govt! They sign contracts........and then overpay and fail to deliver on so many deals.

So yeah! When Walmart does it but boo! When soda companies do it to McDonalds? Government is working on the drug issue finally. Granted, some politicians are against it. The ones like Kyrsten Sinema who get funding from Big Pharma. Which is the problem. Too many in DC are looking out for themselves, not their constituents
