My dad had "the talk" with me and my brother. He told us if we're stopped by police to be respectful, keep your hands where he can see them, don't make sudden moves. Common sense stuff but kids need to be told. Had we been black then that convo is proof of racism and how bad we'd have it at the hands of whitey.

Low class white kids don't have good social skills and many see the police as the enemy. They get in trouble with the law just as much as the low class black kids do. But the racist SJWs either don't see that. Or they purposely ignore that fact because it doesn't support their cause. The tragedy is, their racially biased campaign is what gets blacks and police killed. So, they are causing the very problem they claim to be fighting. Thanks a lot ABC for getting blacks and police killed.

All those journalists had “the talk” with their parents about being careful around black youths when walking at night.

I agree with you 100 %, movieliker, although I'm not sure I would describe the whole thing as racist, just misguided and blind.
I remember in the wake of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown seeing an interview with a black actor, someone pretty wealthy and popular, discussing having "the talk" with his son and I wanted to yell at the TV, "No!! It's got nothing to do with skin color or wearing a hoodie or baggy pants!! Tell your son not to fight with the cops! Tell your son it's not okay to assault people if they "disrespect" you!! Heck, maybe even tell him not to carry a concealed handgun illegally."

Heck, maybe even tell him not to carry a concealed handgun illegally." I have had the same experience when watching black mothers say they are afraid for their children. They say, "What are we supposed to tell our kids?" Tell them to respect the law and police. "Do what you are told by police. Don't argue with the cops. Don't run from the cops. Don't fight the cops. And last but not least, don't break the law. The same things white kids do to stay out of trouble." If I was really a good black parent I would tell my kids, "More white people get killed by police than black people. Don't buy into this racist bullshit. Work hard, work smart, and do the right thing. Don't use racism as an excuse to not take care of your own business and responsibility for your own actions." Believe it or not Harold, I have successful black friends that are living proof. They tell me, "Ignorant lazy black people use racism as an excuse. And they make people like me look bad."

I'd have no issue if disrespect for the police meant the police wouldn't be inclined to cut a kid slack. You don't have to give a mouthy brat a break. But it shouldn't result in people getting beat up and killed.

Cops says "Stop, put your hands up" and kids says "Fuck you cop!"

But it shouldn't result in people getting beat up and killed. Cops don't beat up and kill anyone for just being disrespectful. But running from the police in a high speed car chase puts innocent people at risk. And it puts the chasing cops at risk. And fighting cops with or without weapons is dangerous for all involved. Cops get killed and suspects get killed. And refusing a police order to drop a weapon gets suspects beat up and killed. These are reasons black people get beat up and killed by police. Legally justifiable violence and deadly force. All the instances Black Lives Matter used as poster children for their cause were doing things the courts found gave police just reason to use violence and/or deadly force. The same reasons police kill white suspects.

Oh fuck off. If you're unwilling to even see why after decades of police incompetence/profiling hasn't helped cause an innate distrust among some towards the police, then you clearly have blinders on.
And because I'm sure it somehow needs saying the majority of police do a good job and are professional. However the stigma they get from hardly ever admitting some officers fuck up and frankly shouldn't ever have been cops is a problem.

Some are incompetent, some power-tripping, some are just evil. Are you stereotyping police?

First of all, since you don't use the Quote button, nobody knows who you are talking to. Secondly, I am 59 years old. I have never been beaten up or killed by police. And we have had many police found guilty of illegal activity down here. So, get off the "decades of police incompetence/profiling" excuse. The black people who respect the law, follow the law, and respect and obey the police, don't get beat up and killed by police. The ones that do are criminals breaking the law. Usually with long arrest records. Simple as that EBuzzMiller.

Of course it happens sometimes. Sometimes racist cops mistreat black people. But not to the extent Black and Matter would have one believe. Sometimes rogue cops mistreat white people. Not often. But it happens. We don't have a White Lives Matter movement protesting and rioting nationwide as a result. We don't have football players kneeling for the national anthem.
