Do women in Gaza have rights?
Although women make up 50% of the population in Gaza, their influence in most fields is limited, and their basic rights are often systematically denied.

Last time I checked, wearing a hijab was not criminal, Cody. Since you asked, no I am not wearing a hijab, but it's not a crime.
Settle your feathers, you islamophobe.

I changed my mind about required Islamic dress on women. All forms of Islamic dress for women should be banned in the Western World. If these people are to be stripped from Islam then they have to be stripped of all forms of Islam.

Everybody is fine with the adage "when in Rome" when it's people visiting the West. Why isn't that a two-way street? If I go somewhere where the culture demands I take off my shoes, I take off my shoes. If I go somewhere where culture demands I bow instead of shaking hands, I bow. If I go somewhere where the culture demands I cover my head, I cover my head.
What is it those right wingers say? "If you don't like it, you can leave." Which is just another way of saying "when you're here with us, you act like us".

I despise Islam, but I like you Jill, even though you completely missed the point of the interview I posted. It saddens me greatly that you spurned the hand of friendship and reconciliation I reached out to you with recently. So, I am going to say it one last time. I feel so bad about unfairly and unkindly calling you "Jihadist Jill" that even though it was in jest, I am genuinely sorry. I know. LOL, I said you were known as the "Dutch Oven Devil Lady" during your dating days, but that was only in response to you saying I smell my own farts - or something equally juvenile. I don't want to fight with you Jill, I've always liked you as a poster - even if we disagree on two issues. And I noted you initial distaste, shock, horror and disgust at the heinous terrorist attack on Oct 7th attack by Hamas. So here's a defining moment from me Jill, and "when a defining moment comes along, you define the moment... or the moment defines you." Let's try to be kinder and more polite to each other from now on. How about it Jill? Want to show the board what a peace accord between honest players is?

Synagogues require men no matter their religious beliefs to cover the heads while inside. Should that be debated?

Did I call you "Apartheid Cody"? To err is human, to forgive divine. How many times do I have to apologise to you Jill? As I have often said, my late mother was a an amazing woman. She told me that if a person is big and brave enough to humble themselves and apologise, it is the right thing to do to accept that apology.

Synagogues require men no matter their religious beliefs to cover the heads while inside. Should that be debated? I did not wear a yarmulke at the funeral of my childhood acquaintance and, later, my weed dealer, Jeffrey Osher's funeral PaulsLaugh. Someone wanted me to wear a hankie on my head to compensate for this. I declined. Even though it was rude of me, the Jewish folk did not try to force me to wear one, nor did they threaten me. Unless you are a total idiot and a degenerate troll PaulsLaugh, you know that men wearing a yarmulke at a synagogue or temple service is not the same thing as forcing women to wear a hijab in public. PS. I will never go to a Jewish funeral again without wearing a yarmulke, though. Because I like the fact the yarmulke covers my balding crown.

You put the word ādebateā in the title of your thread. Do you want to debate or pontificate? They both stem from Godās commandments. In the Muslim case, itās ubiquitous male misogyny enhancing an old Middle East and/or Medieval cultural norm via the commandments of an all mighty, all powerful God. The Muslims have Godās power on their side to enforce their Godās edicts on modesty upon anyone in their region. Jews generally do not. However, I donāt think you couldnāt have gotten away with being rude in an ultra orthodox Jewish templeā¦though it is highly unlikely youād be invited inside one. Far Right Judaism also requires their womenfolk to cover their hair. However, they do let the women opt for a wig instead of a headscarfā¦aka hijab. www.cnn.com/style/article/orthodox-jewish-dress-codes/index.htmlIn the kippah case, itās to demonstrate a proud manās humility in the presence of Godās holy Torah as presence of the tabernacle ark. I was invited to visit a mosque service once and I wore a scarf like Lesley Stahlās because I was their guest. You are jumping anyone not 100% damning Islam because of the Hamas attack on the Jews, but admit to being rude to their face. What about the RCC still refusing, after two thousand years, to ordain women? Is that up for debate?
