It's PaulsLaughs birthday. Time to lively up the place and party like it was 1984 again. It's some 10 minutes short of the midnight hour here in my part of Africa and I'm off to have a spliff and watch the latest episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. When I return I expect the board to be rocking and a whole lotta shaking to be going on here. So get out your dancin' shoes boys and girls.

Party like it is 1984? Yeah, I was 24 in 1984, and Like A Virgin was playing everywhere, from the radio, to the record shops to the department stores it blared out daily. Good song I guess, but it wasn't until Reservoir Dogs was released in 1992 that I finally understand what it was about. |
