Has it ever entered your head that sometimes folks post what they want to post, because they can't relate to the specifics of your OP? I skimmed the thread, wasn't aware of your strict guidelines for comment, and posted what I read in high school. Deal with it.  |

Now Richard Stark’s books were very good. He was an author who also wrote under the name Donald E Westlake but his Richard Stark books were more hard boiled.  |

Yeah, James Herbert was yuge while I was at school. Never read any of his books myself though.He was no Garth Marenghi! Funnily enough I just watched the movie Willard (1971) which was about killer rats. The Rats is the only book of his read that I read but, in case people start thinking I had high literary standards, I did read far too many Edge books.   "Sudden" was the man for me.  |

Although the Skinhead books were pretty rough the covers were relatively mild.  Ah, dear old Richard Allen, covered just about every facet of youth tribes. |
