From the article in the OP:
Thankfully, fans of the show were on hand to quickly ridicule complainants:
===========
Isaac Newton wasn't Asian, you're right.
But Charles Dickens didn't blow up ghosts.
Agatha Christie didn't fight off a Giant Wasp.
Mary Seacole didn't treat Sontarans.
Van Gogh didn't stab an invisible chicken.
It's #DoctorWho. Get a grip.
And they say *we're* the snowflakes...
============
I’d like to see inside the brains of people who can believe in Daleks, a talking robot dog, a flying police box and even Captain Mike Yates as a dashing ladies’ man, but lose their shit if Isaac Newton is played by an actor of colour.
============
Racists complaining that Nathaniel Curtis played Isaac Newton as an apple fell on him & he had a conversation with time travellers who led him to name his force “mavity”: your complaint about which bit of that is not historically accurate reveals much about you
============
Loving how the racists are imploding over a black Isaac Newton in Dr Who, saying it's unrealistic.
I mean, they also had an alien flying to the edge of the universe in a blue police box, where they met aliens from outside the universe who were like Morph, but THAT was fine.
There was an episode years ago that took place centuries in the future where the Queen of England was black. Maybe some really racist fans objected to it, I wouldn't know. But since it is perfectly possible that some time in the future an heir to the throne marries a black person, I had no problem at all with it. Now if the Doctor travels to 16th century England and Queen Elizabeth I is black or Asian or Native American, that would make no sense at all - even if there are aliens or monsters in the story.
It really shouldn't be that hard to understand, but of course the stupid diversity fucks don't have the capacity to process thoughts more complex than "you no like black people. you racist!"

This reasoning is so unbelieavably idiotic! Doctor Who is a fantasy/science fiction show that revolves around aliens and time and space travel, but when he travels to Earth's past it is this Earth's past, not some alternate universe where Indians were living in Britain three centuries ago. Making Newton Indian makes as much sense as showing him writing on an iPad - and if he WERE writing on an iPad, the Doctor would HAVE to say something like "wait a minute, this technology is not supposed to exist in this time period, something is wrong here". When Mary Seacole treated Sontarans during the Crimean War (an example brought up in the first quoted tweet), the Doctor didn't just shrug her shoulders; the whole story line was about why and how were the Sontarans even there in the first place.
It really shouldn't be that hard to understand, but of course the stupid diversity fucks don't have the capacity to process thoughts more complex than "you no like black people. you racist!"
