Has anyone here been to White Castle? That's the one I need to try if I ever go to the East Coast. White Castle is a house of worship to me. A dozen cheeseburgers, six double cheeseburgers, toss in a few Jalapeno sliders, add a sack of crinkle cut fries, and a sack of chicken rings, and it's feast fit for someone who has been over-served at the local Moose Lodge. And add in surly employees who are quick to tell customers to fuck right off. The only drawback is the unique "exhaust" emitted the next day, and it is exhaust as it is constant, and a truly miserable experience for anyone within 50 yards or downwind.

Have they still got those?? They were the first burger place in the UK. There was one on Northumberland Street (main shopping street) in Newcastle in the early 80s. I liked it.

Don’t have a great selection of the big fast food places here. Have a local Asian/vietnamese place that is exceptional.

For all the kudos In-and-Out get, you would think they might try to move on this side on the Mississippi River. The closest one to me is Denver and i aint driving that far for a burger

Has anyone here been to Habit Burger? I actually think they're better than In N Out in some ways (at least with them I can just order online and pick it up instead having to wait 15 minutes in line)

For all the kudos In-and-Out get, you would think they might try to move on this side on the Mississippi River. The closest one to me is Denver and i aint driving that far for a burger It is a privately-owned company that doesn't have to answer to stockholders pushing for growth above any other considerations. They decided that they don't want to go with the franchising model so expansion is slow. Also, they don't use frozen food, so any new location has to be within a certain distance from a distribution centre.

I'll be dipped if i know of a Hardees anywhere near. I think the only east coast chain is Tim Horton's

That explains why they wouldn’t move into larger cities like Chicago, New York or Boston.
